As a first timer with projectors I have nothing to compare this with... However, my fear at setting this up was immediately abated when I read the instructions. Easy to follow and in no time I had the projector working. I also purchased a six foot screen with this and it was great to view a film at this width with the projector only sitting at around 3 metres away. The fan is quiet enough not to be a nuisance when viewing... Good purchase...
