WHICH FORMAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Retail or FPP (Fully Packaged Product) - the standard route for purchasing software. It is easy to acquire, available 'off the shelf', and typically allows the customer to own the right to use the software forever.

Retail Boxed N Edition - as with FPP, but the N editions of Windows 7 have no Windows Media Player.

Retail Boxed Upgrade - as with FPP, but the Upgrade version requires you to have an existing version of Windows installed on your pc. Previous versions applicable are Windows XP and Windows Vista. Please check the validity of your product before proceeding.

Retail Boxed Anytime Upgrade - as with FPP, but the Anytime Upgrade version allows you to upgrade from existing Windows 7 products.

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) - these are software packs available to System Builders. A System Builder is defined as an OEM, an assembler, refurbisher or pre-installer of software on a computer system.
